Our monthly convention planning meeting was held on September 4, 2007 at NAPS Headquarters. For your information, we are scheduling Ray Martin to provide the full executive board with a presentation of the convention plans at our fall board meeting.

NAPS Headquarters is planning a special anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 7, 2008, to coincide with the 100 th anniversary of NAPS. This event will include a full seated dinner and entertainment along with a souvenir program book. The details of this celebration are still under development.
Individuals who choose to attend the special anniversary celebration on Sunday will need to complete a separate registration form to be printed in the magazine for this event. The cost for the anniversary celebration will only be $25.00 per person.

The Opening Ceremony will be conducted by Branch One, the host branch, followed by our afternoon business session. The first auxiliary session will also be held in the afternoon.
We will be returning to the convention format that we used years' ago where we will have a delegates reception on Monday evening with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks and a cash bar for mixed drinks as well as complimentary cheese and crackers.

Full day business sessions are scheduled. On Tuesday, we will return to scheduling an Entertainment Night for all delegates. NAPS is working with several talent agencies to contract entertainment for the evening's event. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

There are no official activities planned for this day. We will be looking to Branch 1 to work in developing tours and other events for delegates to take advantage of the local area on the off-day.

Full day business sessions are scheduled. We expect that hospitality rooms will be planned by host city candidates for the 2012 convention.

Our regular business session will conclude the convention with a grand banquet on Friday evening.
