Welcome to the NAPS NW Area website. We have created this website to serve as a tool to enhance our efforts in the distribution of critical information, training, advocacy and legislative efforts for our membership in the NW Area.

The NW Area membership consists of USPS supervisors, managers, postmasters and retirees in the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. NAPS membership is a valuable asset enjoyed by nearly 1400 members in the NW Area. The branches in the NW Area vary from the populus areas of Seattle and Portland to the rural areas in all five states. All the branches of the NW Area support each other in this effort for the combined good of our entire team. If you are not a member and would like more information please contact me.

We provide a vast array of training opportunities for our membership. In August of every even year training is available for delegates to the National Convention. Every year in the early spring we provide training at the legislative Training Seminar in Washington, DC. In August of the odd years we provide training at the Western Region Training Seminar. Every year in the late spring we provide training at the NW Area Convention. Every November we provide Training at the NW Area Presidents Meeting. We also provide training at any and all of the monthly branch meetings upon your request. Training can also be provided, upon request, at other branch functions such as installation dinners, holiday celebrations, and branch picnics at your request.

The NW Area provides assistance and oversight in all disciplinary action involving its membership. All qualifying members are covered by our Disciplinary Defense Fund for adverse actions/debt collection actions. Many branches are also covered by retained lawyers.

We also coordinate numerous fund raising events for the funding of the Supervisors Political Action Committee. Legislative training and news updates are regularly provided to our membership.

I believe the NW Area has the number one team in NAPS and I am very proud of them.
